David Bouchard Visit
On April 22, 2008 our students went to see David Bouchard in Portage la Prairie. We had completed an author study on him earlier in the year and so it was fitting that we go see him. He talked to the students about the importance of reading and writing. Of course, after an hour and a half it's always nice to get a group picture with him. The students really enjoyed some of his poetry books relating to nature and the prairie. Meeting him in person was an excellent expierence. Students were really excited to see him and hear some of his stories.
